IDENTIFICACIÓN DE LOS COMPORTAMIENTOS INADECUADOS EN EL ALUMNADO DE MÁSTER

Abstract

University life must be governed by the academic integrity of the agents involved. However, the literature shows the existence of dishonest academic behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to delve into the existence of this type of behavior in the teaching and learning processes at the university. In this context, this research pursues a double objective: i) identify the behaviors that are perceived as inappropriate by the student body; and ii) analyze the frequency with which the analyzed inappropriate behaviors are carried out. To carry out this research, an online survey was carried out among the students of the official master's degrees offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zaragoza. The results obtained regarding taking exams show a consensus among students about what forms of behavior are inappropriate. In general, neither of these forms of behavior is seen very often. Regarding the behaviors related to the preparation and presentation of works, it is observed that all those proposed are considered inadequate. In this block, it should be noted that the most frequently observed behaviors are found. In the block, «Behavior within the framework of interpersonal relationships and forms related to daily aspects of respect and social harmony», it is observed that the appropriate behaviors are differentiated from the inappropriate ones. However, and despite the consensus on the suitability of these behaviors, it seems that they are not observed with the right frequency and some of them even occur irregularly.
