Abstract

In this work, the hydrogenation of a lignocellulosic bio-oil fraction, rich in levoglucosan, was studied at 180 °C for 3 h, in the presence of two different reaction media -methanol or water- resulting in a molar conversion of 44.0% and 84.0%, respectively.
