Ammonia-Acetone Pyrolysis Chemistry: Toward Cleaner Aviation

This study examines ammonia–acetone pyrolysis under atmospheric conditions to understand ammonia interactions with oxygenated intermediates relevant to Sustainable Aviation Fuels. Experiments performed in a quartz flow reactor revealed significant effects of ammonia on gas-phase composition, soot formation, and precursor growth. The findings support improved kinetic models and low-emission aviation combustion strategies.
