Impact of Aging on Achilles Tendon Mechanics: Experimental Characterization and Modeling

This study analyzes how the mechanics of the Achilles tendon change with age in a murine model. Experimental data are fitted to a numerical model that allows evaluation of tendon behavior under different contraction velocities, combining experimental testing and simulation to better understand tendon mechanics associated with aging.
