Retinal microstructural changes under intraocular pressure variations: statistical speckle modelling in optical coherence tomography

Resumen

This work studies retinal and choroidal microstructural changes caused by acute elevation of the intraocular pressure (IOP) through speckle analysis in optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. Since elevated IOP is a key glaucoma risk factor, these findings support OCT speckle analysis for early detection or monitoring of pressure-induced retinal stress.
