Adopción tecnológica en acuicultura: revisión sistemática de evidencia empírica internacional

Resumen

La innovación tecnológica se ha convertido en un eje estratégico para el desarrollo de la acuicultura, pero su adopción presenta importantes desigualdades entre regiones y tipos de productores. En este artículo, se ofrece una revisión de 45 estudios empíricos publicados entre 2018 y 2025, con el fin de identificar patrones globales de adopción tecnológica y sintetizar sus determinantes, barreras, facilitadores y efectos. La principal contribución del estudio es integrar el análisis de factores técnicos y económicos con dimensiones institucionales, sociales y culturales, incorporando además el papel de las redes de innovación como elemento transversal. Los hallazgos evidencian que las políticas y programas de extensión no pueden ser homogéneos, sino diferenciados según la escala productiva y el contexto territorial. Esta revisión aporta insumos prácticos para orientar en la formulación de políticas públicas, fortalecer estrategias de extensión y diseñar intervenciones que promuevan sostenibilidad, resiliencia y seguridad alimentaria en el sector acuícola.

    Jorge Inés León Balderrama es Doctor en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa. Obtuvo la Maestría en Ciencias Sociales en El Colegio de Sonora y la licenciatura en Economía en la Universidad de Sonora. Es Profesor–Investigador Titular C en la Coordinación de Desarrollo Regional del CIAD, A.C., cuenta con distinción SNII (Nivel 1), y es miembro de la RIDIT y la AMIT. Sus líneas de investigación incluyen innovación en sistemas agroalimentarios, sistemas regionales de innovación, impactos locales del turismo y adopción de nuevas tecnologías. Entre sus publicaciones más recientes destacan su participación como autor del artículo El impacto de los influencers digitales en la mercadotecnia del bacanora (2025), y como autor de correspondencia del artículo Shrimp aquaculture, absorption capacity and competitiveness: an analysis based on the case of Ahome, Mexico. (2024).

    Yasser Enrique Monsiváis Neria es estudiante del Programa de Doctorado en Desarrollo Regional en el Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo (CIAD). Obtuvo la Maestría en Administración de Empresas por la Universidad de Sonora y la Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas por el Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora. Con una amplia trayectoria en el sector privado en gestión administrativa y de servicios, actualmente combina su investigación doctoral con la docencia universitaria. Su trabajo de tesis doctoral se centra en análisis las causas de la limitada difusión de las tecnologías acuícolas que pueden impulsar una acuacultura más sostenible entre los pequeños cultivadores de camarón del estado de Sonora.
