The relationship between foreign policy and international cooperation for development: the case of Colombia, 2002-2015

International cooperation and foreign policy are two non-exclusive topics in the international relations of any State, especially for countries developing (PVD) as Colombia. In the following study it aims to present the relationship existing between cooperation international to the development (CID) and political foreign from the review of them Governments of Álvaro Uribe Vélez and Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, one genesis of the other, but distanced in matter of foreign policy. It is carried out a study of type exploratory, qualitative based on analysis documentary of sources specialized. As relevance, it stands that the Government of Juan Manuel Santos has made efforts for the restoration of diplomatic relations with neighbors and reach other continents. This certainly makes more changes than continuities in relation to ex-president Álvaro Uribe, strengthening international cooperation in addition to development as one of the pillars that help address the internal problems.
