Resumen
El Museo de América posee unas amplias colecciones que proceden de las distintas cultu-ras del continente americano, lo que permite no sólo admirar unas piezas que son únicas, sino también valorar la capacidad creativa de sus habitantes en unas manifestaciones que a veces están cargadas de un fuerte mestizaje. Desde su fundación en el año 1941, el Museo es todo un referente cultural y artístico para el conocimiento de las civilizaciones precolombinas, pero también para adentrarnos en el arte colonial o en el apasionante mundo de las manifestaciones etnográficas. De todo ello, de su pasado y de su futuro, hablaremos en las páginas futuras.
The American Museum has a comprehensive collections that come from the different cultures of the Americas, which allows not only to admire some pieces that are unique, but also to assess the creativity of its people in demonstrations that are sometimes charged by a strong mestizaje. Since its founding in 1941, the Museum is a reference point for cultural and artistic knowledge of pre-Columbian civilizations, but also to get into the colonial art or in the exciting world of ethnographic demonstrations. From all this, its past and its future, we will discuss in future pages.
