Abstract

Curro Inza (Madrid, 1929–1976) was one of the most prominent architects of "Madrid Organicism." His buildings from that generation have received more attention than the relationship they might establish with the landscape. The relationship with the landscape as a condition of the project is a topic rarely addressed and rarely mentioned by its authors, hence this article.
The fact that Inza considers Landscape as a category is novel in itself and a good framework from which to approach several of his works. I have also written articles that allude to the landscape, and I have mentioned these concerns in the reports of some projects, but his work has never been approached from this perspective.
This text explores several strategies the author proposes, from which he can be explained. Two landscape strategies are developed here: the first is "Appropriation and Tautology," which uses a house in the mountains to develop this idea; The second is “Geographic Homothecy,” a strategy applied and explained through an educational facility on the outskirts of the city of Segovia.
