Estructuración temática y tópica en tres subgéneros: Un estudio contrastivo

El objetivo principal de este artículo es analizar la estructura temática y tópica de tres subgéneros: narraciones para niños de corta edad, noticias y folletos turísticos. Los 60 textos analizados (veinte de cada tipo) fueron escritos específicamente para su publicación y, por consiguiente, no ofrecen la posibilidad de una retroalimentación directa entre el escritor y el lector. Sin embargo, su propósito retórico principal y su registro (Propp 1972, van Dijk 1988a, b, Cook 1992, Luch 2003) son claramente diferentes y se plantea la hipótesis de que esto desempeña un papel clave en su organización temática y tópica. En los cuentos infantiles, el tema tiende a estar estrechamente asociado al tópico y en las noticias la correlación entre tema y tópico es aún mayor, mientras que en los folletos turísticos el tema parece preceder al tópico. Este posicionamiento se atribuye a las intenciones comunicativas del periodista, el escritor de viajes y el autor del cuento, respectivamente.
