Validation of a Scale to Measure the Index of Teachers’ Intercultural Efficacy

In view of the growing cultural diversity in the classroom, there is a demand for better and wider training of future teachers in mul-ticulturalism management with the aim of promoting effective intercultu-ral professionals. Starting from this need, we present in this article the adaptation of the Multicultural Efficacy Scale (MES) of Guyton & Wesche (2005), giving rise to the Intercultural Efficacy Scale (EEFI). For this, the MES has been adapted, data of n. = 297 teachers and master’s degree students in Spain have been collected, and the scale has been validated. The Cronbach alpha reliability test has been applied, an exploratory facto-rial analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis of the model, proposing a second model whose goodness-of-fit has been optimal.
