Mercado de trabajo y normativa laboral: implicaciones para la eficiencia y para la equidad

El artículo pone de manifiesto las estrechas relaciones que se encuentran entre la eficiencia y la equidad. Esto exige establecer las diversas clases de eficiencia. Se señala que el modelo neoclásico sólo atiende a una de ellas pero en un proceso dinámico, como es la actividad económica, es necesario considerar otras. La normativa laboral, que tradicionalmente se ha visto cómo garantista, desde la perspectiva de la equidad, puede desarrollar efectos positivos sobre la eficiencia y mejorar el funcionamiento de los mercados siempre que reúna determinadas características.
