Las asociaciones de personas con deficiencia actúan como mediadores en la inserción social y laboral de dicho colectivo. Su actuación en la inserción laboral se ve marcada por la percepción que poseen sobre el colectivo de discapacitados y la percepción sobre el mercado de trabajo (especialmente en torno a las estrategias y actitudes empresariales). Dicha percepción marcará las estrategias adoptadas por las asociaciones para lograr la inserción
