La situación laboral de la mujer rural de Castilla y León y Extremadura: un análisis sociológico

Los cambios que se están produciendo en la estructura social y productiva en el ámbito rural han influido de forma considerable en la situación laboral de la mujer rural. En el escenario rural, en el que el envejecimiento de la población y la reducción de la fecundidad se han convertido en uno de los principales problemas poblacionales de este entorno, el trabajo de la mujer como agente social de desarrollo es fundamental para potenciar el desarrollo endógeno del mundo rural.
En este estudio nos hemos propuesto analizar, por tanto, desde una perspectiva empírica la situación laboral de la mujer residente en los municipios de menos de 10.000 habitantes de las Comunidades de Castilla y León y Extremadura con el fin de determinar los retos a los que se enfrenta el futuro de la sociedad rural los cuales pasan por activar y potenciar el empleo de la mujer rural que hasta el momento se ha caracterizado mayoritariamente por la dependencia, la desprotección y la eventualidad.
