De la eficacia cooperativa: el gobierno participativo bajo una perspectiva sistémica

El cooperativismo es tachado con frecuencia de ser menos eficiente que otros modelos económicos. Este trabajo pone en discusión tal aserto estudiando los subsistemas que, como sucede con otras empresas, componen cualquier cooperativa. El análisis económico permite diferenciar los aspectos más idiosincrásicos de las cooperativas como organizaciones de participación, esto es, como entidades cuyos socios tienen doble interés en que éstas funcionen según los objetivos trazados (principio de identidad). Las formas de participar para que esto suceda se traducen en gobierno empresarial. La argumentación concluye que, paradójicamente, son menos eficientes las cooperativas que sólo lo son de nombre, las desgobernadas, aquéllas donde ha sido violado el principio de identidad.
