The aim of this paper is to discuss the institutionalised political discourse on memory from the point of view of certain epistemological and methodological premises. In order to do so, it is necessary to highlight the importance of memory in the development of societies and its never-ending and problematic relationship with the future. This paper also focuses on the responsibility of memory makers.
