La personalidad central y el legado de Concepción Arenal resultan susceptibles de establecer un diálogo sobre cuestiones que hoy están en la base del Estado social y democrático de derecho. Ella centraba su mirada desde la dignidad de todo ser humano y trataba de dar respuesta a las necesidades planteadas en su época con el objetivo de mejorar los medios y los recursos en sociedad. Trató de humanizar las relaciones entre las personas y dentro de la estructura política para que mediante las libertades fuera posible ir hacia la igualdad de oportunidades y una mejor distribución de la riqueza.Poniendo de relieve los valores y actitudes reformadoras que encierra el discurso de Concepción Arenal, esta ponencia se centra desde las instituciones que recogieron su voz de autoridad en España y en su proyección internacional.
