Abstract

The detailed description of the resort of embellishment has rnade the elocutio the part more perfectioned and complete of the rethoric. Its enlargement along the history reaches its top in the last centuries, when the designation, explication and clasification of these procedures occupies a privileged place in literary preceptives.
Our purpose is to take a look on the evolution that the ample the classic scheme of tropes and figures experiments in 18th and 19th centuries' spanish rethoric. This historical investigation notes in which proportion and with which models were institutionalized some clasifications. At the same time, it makes us to reflect on the theoretical possibilities of an interrelational study that eontemplates how the elections supposed to every clasification denounce determined literary interpretations.
