Author Biography

Enrique Jerez Abajo, Universidad de Zaragoza

Enrique Jerez Abajo is a Doctor and Assistant Professor of Architectural Design at the University of Zaragoza (accredited as Contratado Doctor since 2015). He graduated as architect from ETSAUN in 2004 with Honours and was awarded a PhD at the University of Valladolid in 2012. His doctoral dissertation (The Legacy from the Ephemeral) studies built and unbuilt design proposals for Spanish pavilions in International Exhibitions of the last century. His research then turned towards strategies in project processes, in relation to modern and contemporary Spanish architecture, and particularly to exhibition pavilions, temporary architecture and domestic architecture. His built work has been awarded, exhibited and published in the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (2018), the COAVN Awards (2019, 2013), the Arquia/Próxima Awards for young Spanish architects (2012) or the Castile and Leon Architecture Awards (2018, 2011).
