No. 76 (2024): (Incluye subsección Monográfico en Geomorfología)

Geographicalia 76

Issue 76 of Geographicalia is different for two reasons: firstly, it includes a monographic subsection dedicated to specific topics related to Geomorphology in all sections. The editorial analyses the evolution of academic geomorphology in Aragon, the articles cover specific aspects such as the biogeomorphology of tropical mangroves, avalanches in mountain areas or erosion by piping in agricultural lands, the maps present two examples of excellent geomorphological cartography and the Research Reviews focus on volcano-tourism and ephemeral rivers. All the manuscripts belonging to the monograph are distinguished by their chestnut-brown layout. The General Section, on the other hand, maintains the classic magenta layout of Geographicalia, and presents articles related to the development of new undergraduate degrees and settlement patterns of pre-Hispanic cultures, as well as Research Reviews on the recovery of vegetation cover.

The second reason is that this issue marks the end of a new phase for the current Editorial Board. We have managed to publish six issues, maintain the journal for five years (we are 10.6% of its history), evolve its image and lay the foundations for it to continue growing. We would like to publicly recognise the support received by the journal from the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning, the Library and the University of Zaragoza itself, but above all the confidence of all the authors in Geographicalia to publish.
