Abstract

This study presents the results of a teaching innovation project aimed at advancing the use of the Service-Learning (SL) methodology in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zaragoza. The project involves a team of 17 teachers who aimed to reflect on the application of the SL methodology, identify its potential benefits, and address issues related to student and teacher engagement, as well as collaboration with social entities. 

The project is structured around five specific objectives and to achieve them, the team is organized in four collaborative teams to conducts surveys, create communication campaigns and develop promotional materials. Although the study encountered limitations, findings revealed the positive impact of the SL methodology on students' critical thinking skills and the development of specific skills in the economic and business fields, as well as their satisfaction with the experiences, and indicate the improvement of internship opportunities with social entities, Additionally, the results provide valuable information for future improvements in the implementation of SL activities in educational environments.
