INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Authors must send the full text of the article, an anonymous version, the declaration of authorship and transfer of rights document as well as the publication permissions of the images, if any.

Texts submitted for publication in CLIO. History and History teaching must be original and, therefore, must not have been previously published in whole or in part. An anti-plagiarism review system will be applied.

Both articles and reviews may be submitted using the official template. Free subject articles for Miscellaneous and reviews can be submitted from January until the end of June through https://papiro.unizar.es/ojs/clio. The monographic section has specific dates in its call. Texts are accepted in Spanish and English, as well as in other official languages of Spain.

The text must be accompanied by an abstract in Spanish and English of no more than 10 lines and 5-8 keywords in both languages. If images are included, they must be free of reproduction rights, as well as the respect of privacy rights in case the images include people's faces. Compliance with the previous guidelines as well as the originality of the texts and materials submitted is the sole responsibility of the authors.

The name(s) of the author(s), the name(s) of the institution or work center and their e-mail address(es) shall be stated and made public in each contribution.

It is recommended that empirical research articles maintain the regular structure of introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions and bibliographical references.

Funding sources, if any, should be disclosed.

Texts should be submitted in doc/docx using the journal template (updated in 2020). CLIO. History and History teaching has no length restrictions. The current system of bibliographic references is APA 7.

The submission of manuscripts for evaluation and publication implies the acceptance of these conditions, as well as the authorization to "Proyecto Clio" Association for their possible further dissemination in different media, provided the authorship of each article is kept on record. Authors should send a statement of authorship and a cover letter. They maintain their copyright and rights, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

EVALUATION PROCESS

Articles and reviews are evaluated by the double-blind peer review system. Once two positive evaluations are received, the article is accepted for publication. If the reviewers suggest any modification prior to acceptance, authors are informed so that they can revise the work and send a second version. If there is a discrepancy between the reviewers, it is sent to a third one. Since 2021, the CLIO editorial team is committed to providing a first response within a maximum period of 4 months.

ACCEPTANCE RATE

Since 2011, the annual acceptance rate has ranged from 63% (minimum in 2020) to 86.11% (maximum in 2015). In current issue the acceptance rate has been 65%.
