Abstract

The present educational innovation project pretends to engage the students of Literatura Hispanoamericana I subject with art collections, archives and bibliographic funds related to Hispanic American culture and literature, from its origins to the nineteenth century, focusing on its relationship with Spain. This will be done through physical or online searches of archives and collections particularly rich in this type of information in Spain (such as the Archivo de Indias) and abroad. The aim of this activity is to increase interest in Hispanic American literature and the resources for its study beyond the classroom, as well as the development of generic skills such as the ability to work in a team, to apply knowledge in practice, to search for information and to process, synthesise and disseminate it. These objectives were met satisfactorily, as shown both by the results of the activities and the positive assessment of the students.
